JD5s are proud to be hosting tournaments in the summer 2012 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Both events will be held in Southampton at the Universities top class sports centre, Wide Lane Sports Ground, close to Southampton airport and Parkway train station.

Each event is open to any male team over the age of 16, though if you are a womens team please let us know and if we can get enough teams we will run a seperate womens event!

JD5s is fully affilliated to Hampshire FA and will abide by all its rules, the events will be run by qualified FA refs and managed by our team of experienced league managers to ensure everything is fully organised.

Champions League Formatt - every team that enters is guaranteed

45-60 minutes of competitive match play in the qualifying stages, usually

4-6 short matches. Group stage qualifiers will go onto the knockout stages where there will be a minimum prize of trophies and beers and we hope for a few extra special goodies to be announced closer to the time.

The university site is fantastic for such events with easy transport access by car, train or bus. A top class 3rd generation artificial grass pitch, the same stuff all the premier league and international sides train on. Loads of changing facilities and most importanltly a pitch side pavillion with a well stocked bar and sky TV!

There will also be catering for all the players and games and activities for family, freinds and children so bring everyone along to help us raise as much money as possible for such a great cause.

Entry fee is £40 per team with a maximum of 8 players per team
