JD Fives are proud to support this World Record attempt at the largest 5-a-side football tournament in memory of Jack Boothroyd, from Milford on Sea, who was 15, loved football and tragically passed away suddenly last October.

All JD Fives league matches in the week of Feb 7th 2011 will be part of the qualifying stage for this tournament. There is no obligation to take further part in the event should you qualify, and for those who dont they will be able to make a seond attempt at further qualifying matches to be held in Feb/Mar.

There is no charge to our teams and your league match will run as usual with the added bonus of a chance to progress to the finals, ALL teams will be recognised as officially having taken part in the Worlds largest 5 A Side Tournament ever and become official Guniess World Record Holders!

This record attempt is also a charity fundraiser, we kindly ask all teams to donate as much as you can, in a bid to help raise £32'000 for the Wave 105 cash for kids charity. 100s of teams around the county are raising £10 - £100 each so please be generous!

Another Chance To Qualify

Heats are also being held between now and the end of February, with the finals on 5th March at Priestlands School at Lymington.

Just by entering you'll be helping to raise money for Wave 105 Cash for Kids so whether you're a 5-a-side team or just want to get your friends or work colleagues together for a football tournament then register now... Ladies teams are welcome too!!

The competition is being run for schools up to adults, each within their own category.

There is no entry fee but all players are asked to obtain sponsorship with a minimum of £10 per team but we're hoping to raise lots more money for disadvantaged children in the south.

What happens next

When we know how many teams are getting involved we will contact you again to give you details of the early rounds. The heats will be held at various venues.

The Competition will take place from now until Saturday 5th March which will be finals day. Medals and trophies will be presented at Milford-on-Sea Club on the evening of Saturday 5th March.
